It’s a recollection.

‘A collection of recollections’

…of childhood days in Jersey…’

So begins a journey through the Occupation of Jersey in World War 2. Barbed Wire and Teddy Bears recalls these days through the eyes of the children who lived through them. Inspired by collected stories in Therese Tabb’s Occupation Memories, this ensemble play, by Karen Forbes, gives an insight into how the youngest members of Jersey’s population coped with rules, curfews, and the constant presence of the Greenfly.

‘Yes,  times were dark. But children will always be children. Honestly, would we have it any other way?

This JADC production will be staged at the Jersey Arts Centre for two performances as part of Jersey’s Liberation Week celebrations.
