Jersey Green Room Theatre Company present three of Alan Bennett’s acclaimed Talking Heads plays under the directorship of Terri Le Huquet.
Originally written as a series of dramatic monologues for BBC Television, they were performed by the cream of acting talent including: Maggie Smith; Patricia Routledge; Julie Walters; and Thora Hird. These “darkly comic, tragically poignant and wonderfully uplifting” masterclasses in writing have since been included on the A-Level and GCSE English Literature syllabuses.
The three monologues being presented are: Bed Among the Lentils, Her Big Chance and A Lady of Letters.
These amateur productions of: HER BIG CHANCE; A LADY OF LETTERS; and BED AMONG THE LENTILS are presented by arrangement with Concord Theatricals Ltd. On behalf of Samuel French Ltd.
