Walking Words, Meandering Memories
Join a sauntering poetry walk/recital with Sharon Champion who will be returning to her roots in Sand Street, St Helier and its neighbourhood. Meeting outside The Threadneedle Pub in Seaton Place we will wend our way, stopping at places held dear to her during the 1950s to the 1970s. Fond memories of family, a community of colourful characters, old shops and pubs are relived, a bygone time when children played out in an earthy world, soaking up street life in all its fascination. Long live Sand Street.
