In Borneo, near the tropical forest, Keria rescues a baby orangutan in the palm oil plantation where her father works. Keria’s cousin Selai comes to live with them seeking refuge from the conflict between his indigenous tribe and the logging companies. Keria, Selai and the little orangutan, now named Oshi, will have to fight against their forest’s destruction.
“This stop-motion animated film luxuriates in scenes of the natural world, from the vivid colours of the jungle (mellow greens, bright blues and understated browns) to the symphony of nocturnal animals (howling owls, shrill cicadas and crying crickets) … absolutely gorgeous to look at” – The Hollywood Reporter
