In this beautifully animated film without dialogue, set in 1980s Manhattan, Dog lives alone. After seeing a television advert, Dog decides to order a robot friend who he then takes out to explore the city. Over the course of the summer, their friendship grows until they are inseparable, until one night when Dog has to make a difficult decision.
