This political drama, based on a true story, highlights the plight of Eunice Paiva, a Brazilian woman and wife of dissident politician Rubens Paiva. After speaking out about the dictatorial Brazilian government, Rubens Paiva was arrested in 1971. Left to care for her family alone, Eunice spends the next 25 years campaigning for the truth behind her husband’s disappearance and for justice for others in similar positions. Based on a memoir by Rubens’ son, novelist and playwright Marcelo Rubens Paiva.
