Writer, singer and cabaret star Dr Adam Perchard returns to their spiritual home at Jersey Arts Centre with an intimate evening of laughter, reflection, and scintillating songs from the worlds of pop, rock, musical theatre and opera.
Known on the Island for hosting Channel Islands Pride as well as for their hit shows about identity and history, here the good doctor returns to their roots in London’s decadent cabaret scene. Expect old favourites and new discoveries, sequins and stardust, radiant ruffles and rampant repartee, purple poems, and sizzling live music. Featuring guest-spots from two other Jersey stars, the pop sensation Shea and the virtuoso violinist Alexander Lee-Briard, HI-VIS promises to be an absolute blinder of a night!

Dr Adam Perchard is an internationally acclaimed writer and peformer. They have performed at the National Theatre, the London Coliseum, Soho Theatre, Hackney Empire, and on Channel 4, and their solo show Bathtime for Britain (commissioned by Jersey Arts Centre) toured theatres across the UK last year. A mainstay on cabaret stages across the UK, Europe and the US, last year Adam also headlined the northernmost literary festival in the world in Svalbard with their show BUNBURYING (another Jersey Arts Centre commission). Their show Interview with the Vamp, written and performed with Olivier Award-winning composer Richard Thomas, will have a run at the Soho Theatre in London this summer.
Shea is a trained actor, singer, writer and producer from Jersey, currently based in London. Several of his original songs have been awarded BBC Introducing CI ‘Track of the Week‘. ArtHouse Jersey have supported Shea to produce his own music videos, which are available on YouTube, and he co-produced a live music show as part of a Jersey Arts Centre artist residency. Shea has performed at festivals (Birmingham Pride, Channel Islands Pride, Good Vibrations) and intimate venues (Jersey Songwriters Society, Troy Bar). His debut EP was released on 8 March 2024 and his music is available on all music streaming platforms.
Alexander Lee-Briard is a virtuoso violinist and multi-instrumentalist. He studied under Gerard Le Feuvre, and Stephen Threlfall (Director of Music at Chetham’s) credits him with “one of the most distinct violin sounds I’ve ever heard“. A recording artist for the likes of Ray Hedges and Sony Music, he also plays regularly for Jersey Heritage.
