Sue Darwar is the “personification of a disco diva“, acclaimed for her powerful and soulful vocals. She is widely known as “Miss Disco“, fronting the band of the same name and delivering astonishing performances throughout the UK and in Europe. Miss Disco recently released their debut single One Step After Another and the song has received extensive worldwide airplay including multiple plays on Tony Blackburn’s show on BBC Radio 2. Sue has wowed crowds at many festivals including Glastonbury and Heritage Live and even performed at Wembley Stadium. For her Coronation Park show, Sue will be playing tribute to the many legends of the soul and disco era including Aretha Franklin, Chaka Khan and Randy Crawford through to Beyoncé and Alicia Keys.
SupaFunk! brings together some of Jersey’s finest funk musicians, united in their love of high-energy instrumental funk and soul. With a powerhouse four-piece horn section and a driving rhythm section, this dynamic octet delivers electrifying grooves inspired by artists like Cory Wong, Lettuce and the Haggis Horns. Led by trumpeter Adam Brown, its members have performed with legends from Amy Winehouse to Dionne Warwick, in venues including the Royal Albert Hall and Ronnie Scott’s, and across the globe from the USA to Singapore.

From Monday 28 July to Sunday 17 August, Jersey Arts Centre’s summer programme moves to Coronation Park for a season of al-fresco shows and concerts.
We look forward to seeing you at the park – here are a few things you need to know:
• The concerts and park events often sell-out: be sure to book early!
• You are welcome to picnic.
• Seating is provided, although you may wish to bring your own picnic blankets or chairs.
• Please arrive by bike, on foot, by public transport (Bus 12a or 15), or park your car
with plenty of time to spare as Millbrook playing field is no longer available!
• Evening concerts will finish at 9pm
• Please dress suitably as performances will go ahead whatever the weather.
• Refunds will only be offered if a performance / concert is cancelled
