Jazz en Jerri, in partnership with Jersey Arts Centre, proudly celebrates the month of Fete de la Musique with our Women in Jazz series, presenting the sensational Becca Wilkins live in concert. Becca is a London-based jazz vocalist, improviser and educator whose music explores the space between tradition and reinvention. Known for her expressive storytelling, refined phrasing and lyrical clarity, she brings a grounded, emotionally rich voice to every performance.

Wilkins moves fluently between genres and formats. She has appeared at venues including The Vortex, Saffron Hall, Symphony Hall Birmingham and Crazy Coqs, and performed internationally in Greece (Tinos Jazz Festival), the Netherlands and Dubai. Her recent project, Reverie, reimagines French Chanson through the lens of contemporary jazz, transforming works by Piaf, Montand, Trenet, and Brel into fresh quartet arrangements. Blending nostalgia and reinvention in equal measure, the album marks a return to Wilkins’ early connection with Normandy.

A long-time collaborator with composer Olivia Murphy, she also performs with the London Vocal Project and pianist Maria Grapsa. Whether leading her own group or working within an ensemble, Wilkins delivers intimate, atmospheric performances that blend craft with quiet risk.
