This year Jersey will have its very own Gilbert and Sullivan Festival over the weekend of 16th-18th October. At the heart of our festival will be evening performances of HMS Pinafore (on Friday 16th October) and The Pirates of Penzance (on Saturday 17th October). The weekend will conclude with a talk on Gilbert and Sullivan given by Neil Smith, Founder of the National Gibert & Sullivan Opera Company on Sunday 18th October.
We are very excited that the major principal roles will be taken by professional soloists from the National G&S Opera Company – those making the trip to Jersey are currently expected to be: Simon Butteriss, John Savournin, Phoebe Smith, Gaynor Keeble and Alex Aldren.
The members of the chorus and minor principal roles will be undertaken by members of the amateur societies of Jersey and Guernsey. Discounted tickets available to those who wish to attend 2 or all 3 events!
