The dancers of Ballet d’Jèrri present Carte Blanche.
What happens when you give a company of professional dancers complete creative freedom?
Carte Blanche is Ballet d’Jèrri’s annual choreographic workshop, where the dancers step out of line and into the director’s chair. They present their own original works developed in-house; bold ideas, personal stories, experiments, risks, and occasionally the beautifully unexpected.
This is not a curated programme with safety rails. It is a space for curiosity. Some pieces may be abstract, some theatrical, some humorous, some quietly intimate. We won’t know until they get on stage. The aim is not perfection, but exploration, so this is a rare opportunity to see artists thinking on their feet and shaping their own unedited voices.
For audiences, Carte Blanche offers something different: a glimpse into the unfiltered personality and the sometimes-messy creative engine of the artists that make up the company. You may discover a future main-stage choreographer before anyone else does.
