In the late 19th century, a young Danish priest travels to a remote part of Iceland to build a church and undertake a photography project of the local inhabitants. However, the deeper Lucas (Elliott Crosset Hove) travels into the sparse Icelandic landscape, the more he loses a sense of his own reality.
