Tom Wood graduated from Sheffield School of Art in 1978. His work, since then, has been exhibited worldwide including paintings of Professor Lord Robert Winston and Alan Bennett commissioned by the National Portrait Gallery, London. Other notable commissions have included portraits for HRH Prince of Wales, Yale University and Cambridge University. He was visiting Professor of Fine Art at Leeds University and is a Fellow of Sheffield Hallam University.

He has worked in Hong Kong as Art Advisor for the English Schools Foundation and whilst there was instrumental in developing art projects for gifted and talented art students. He has also been a featured artist in the BBC Star Portraits arts programme in which he painted the actress, Barbara Windsor. Tom is a versatile and gifted artist whose work is represented in many public and private collections.
