Güllen, a small town in Central Europe is on the verge of physical and financial collapse. It’s only hope is on a train about to arrive at its dilapidated station: Clara Zachanassian, a billionairess and former resident. If she will take pity on the town and use her fortune to restore it to its former glory all will be well. But Clara’s generosity comes at a very particular, and deadly, price; will the good people of Güllen be prepared to pay it?

ACT’s 24th production is a blacker than black comedy about justice, revenge and sacrifice.
