At the age of fourteen, Laura Freeman was diagnosed with anorexia. But the one appetite she never lost was her love of reading. From plum pudding and pottles of fruit in Dickens, to Virginia Woolf’s painterly descriptions of bread, blackberries and biscuits, she graudally re-discovered how to enjoy food through literature. Book by book, Laura developed an appetite and discovered an entire library of reasons to live. Laura Freeman will be in conversation with writer Cathy Rentzenbrink.
