John Boyne has written ten novels for adults and five for younger readers, including The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas, which has sold nine million copies worldwide and inspired both a film and a ballet. This leading modern novelist’s work has been translated into 51 languages.

Born in Ireland, where he still lives, John Boyne has received numerous awards, including the Hennessy Literary Hall of Fame Award for his body of work. His latest novel, The Heart’s Invisible Furies, is a poignant story of life in Ireland over 70 years, through the eyes of one ordinary man.
