Having worked with some of the most innovative experimental theatre companies in the UK, former Jersey Arts Centre youtheatre member Jonny Liron is returning after a decade away making theatre to offer workshops with a practical and theoretical element. Each workshop will focus on a different aspect of experimental theatre making. You’ll look at improvisation technologies like long form improvisation, object work, turned in and turned out performance, performance recall, channelling, refusal in performance and generating political material. We’ll also look at how experimental improvisation technologies can be used when working from a script. We’ll look at experimental staging structures and ethical frameworks in theatre making and company forming. If you’re interested in different ways of making theatre and different ways of performing then this might be the workshop for you. These workshops are open to all experience and abilities.
