Creative Writing Workshop: The Storyteller in You
Do writers begin with a setting, a character, an action, an object or just a thought? Using different techniques, such as atmosphere, character-building, plotting-tension devices and endings that fit, you will be shown how to create that important ‘hook’ to generate interest from the editor, publisher and competition judge and reader. Wake up the writer in you by experiencing examples of good writing, trying short exercises to generate your writing energy, then critiquing your work with the group so that we can revise our work with greater confidence. Join us, whether you are an experienced writer or a beginner to build your writing skills and edit your fiction and poetry into marketable and prize-winning manuscripts.
