Since its inception in 2003, ArtsCentreTheatre has not only reinterpreted and adapted both classic and modern texts but its members have also created over 50 original pieces including monologues, duologues and short plays. To mark its 25th production, ACT is revisiting a selection of those pieces…but with a twist. Any script, be it Will Shakespeare’s or Fred Bloggs’, is a blueprint that can be interpreted and staged in any number of ways; and ACT is about to prove that. The original directors and casts that interpreted that performed each piece will not be reviving their past triumphs; instead, like our audience, they will have to sit back and watch as new casts and new directors put their own fresh, and potentially radical, spin on these cherished texts.

A selection of these pieces will also be performed at this year’s Jersey Eisteddfod in November.
